We'll try to decode the discourse of this most unusual presidential campaign that so often has had racial, gender and class overtures, undertones and unvarnished aspersions.The panel takes on these questions and more: What new truths about the country have emerged as one presidency concludes and the next roars into existence? How direct can a news organization be in translating campaign rhetoric cluttered with code and innuendo when it comes to the politics of identity? What must Americans know to understand how it is that we have arrived at this unique moment in the national discourse around race, gender and class?
