This panel focuses on how newsrooms, large and small, can stay on top of datasets that inform smart journalism on changing demographics, race, ethnicity and beyond. Good work has been done by the AP, USA TODAY and others in this area. The panel provides tips on using new tools and provides a list of the best databases for localization to inform stories on communities within our communities.
